Car loans paid on time in ND, SD (AP via Yahoo! Finance)

Add car loans to the list of payments that South Dakota and North Dakota consumers are making on time. Credit reporting agency TransUnion said the 60-day auto delinquency rate nationally in the first quarter of the year rose to 0.83 percent, up from 0.65 percent in the same period last year.

Fresh off a 10-month jail stint for posing as a Good Samaritan, stealing a purse and running up a crash victim’s credit cards, a former Bob Taylor Chevrolet service manager was sentenced Tuesday to nine years in prison for embezzling $640,000 from the Naples dealership. Robert J. Tozzi’s attorney blamed the long-term theft on his abuse of painkillers, which he got hooked on after a crash.

DALLAS — A high-speed chase through the Dallas area ended when a car being pursued by authorities ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck. Television reports identified the suspect as 29-year-old Shane Michel.
